2002 Song Contest
The ASG is proud to announce the launch of
Austin Song Contest 2002. We are looking for great songs from
great songwriters in every genre. The contest is open to the public,
and will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes in every category.
The grand prize is a years membership with TAXI
valued at $300.
Other prizes include studio time at some of Austin's best recording
studios, gift certificates for gear, and subscriptions to songwriting
magazines.
All
entries should be dropped off at Music Makers 517 S. Lamar Austin,
Texas 78704 by 6:00 pm April 6, 2002. Finalists will be
notified by phone the last week of May 2002. The awards ceremony
will be held at Saxon Pub in Austin on June 5th.

LEARNING
OPPORTUNITY WITH STEVE SESKIN
Steve Seskin and maybe Allen Shamblin are doing a workshop in
Austin, TX, Sunday April 14, 2002, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the
Rouse House followed by a jam session followed by an evening concert
with Steve and Allen Shamblin.
The cost is
$20 for the seminar only and
$25 for the seminar and the evening concert.

ASG hosts an open mic every Sunday night. at 7:00 ASG begins
the ASG open mic followed at 8:30 by Jollyville City Limits Showcase
& Open mic at B.B.
